PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Maryland State Police are requesting public assistance to find a Salisbury man wanted in connection with an armed robbery that happened in Princess Anne Sept. 26.
Police say Anthony Wayne Adkins, 51, has a warrant for armed robbery after he reportedly stole from a store on the 31000 block of Eden Allen Road around 7:45 p.m. that night.
According to state troopers, two eye witnesses reported the alleged robber brandished a knife and demanded money from the cashier at the register before fleeing with unpurchased cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of money.
Police say the employee and both witnesses were unharmed.
Adkins is described by MSP as 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 225 pounds, and he is known to frequent the Salisbury area.
