Maryland DNR says the seals were stranded near Lewes, Delaware and went to the National Aquarium to be rehabilitated. On Thursday, the two pups were released back into the ocean.
Wildlife officials say during the winter months it is common to spot seals resting on the beaches at Assateague State Park. They say if you spot a stranded seal, you should always "stay at least 150 feet away and report the sighting to the Stranding Network Hotline at 410-546-3880."
