St. Michaels Fire Department

ST. MICHAELS, MD- An accidental fire reportedly caused roughly $1 million in damage in St. Michaels.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal says the flames started around 1 p.m. on Saturday at a two-story townhouse on Martingham Circle.

The St. Michaels Fire Department says all seven Talbot County fire companies and several nearby units were called to the two-alarm fire.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators say a issue with the air conditioning unit in the attic caused the fire.
