MILLSBORO, DE - A Sussex County man was arrested for DUI and drug charges after a traffic stop on Friday. 

On Friday, March 28th, a trooper from the Delaware State Police observed a Ford Flex entering Mount Joy Road in Millsboro from a Royal Farms parking lot. DSP say the driver was pulled over for a traffic stop after the trooper saw the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and the passenger side window of the vehicle was not working. 

According to state police, during the interaction with the driver, identified as 38-year-old Brandon Myers of Millsboro, the trooper noticed Myers was "drowsy and saw drug paraphernalia in the center console." 

During a search of Myers' pocket, police found several bags of suspected heroin. The trooper administered a Standardized Field Sobriety Test and Myers was taken into custody for driving under the influence. A later search of his vehicle led to the discovery of "105 bags (approximately 3.15 grams) of heroin and additional drug paraphernalia."

Brandon Myers was arrested and charged with the following:

- Possession of Controlled Substance Tier 2 Quantity (Felony)

- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

- Driving Under the Influence of Drug

 -Driver Must Wear Properly Adjusted and Fastened Seatbelt

He was released on a $7,875 unsecured bond.
