Toms Cove Assateague National Park

ACCOMACK COUNTY, VA.- The Toms Cover Visitor Center in the Virginia District of Assateague Island National Seashore will no longer sell entrance passes come the new year.

Entrance passes include the Weekly (7-day) Park Entrance Pass, Assateague Island Annual Park Pass, and the America the Beautiful passes.

Over Sand Vehicle permits will still be available for pick up at the visitor center. Backcountry camping permits can be gotten form the Ranger Station in the Maryland District.

Officials say the change aims to reduce duplication, improve efficiency and remain in compliance with National Park Service Fee Collection regulations.

The change takes effect January 1st.
