NEW CHURCH, VA - The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrests of two people in connection to a reported shooting in New Church that claimed the life of one man late last year.

On December 15, 2024, police were called to Green Hill Road on reports of a vehicle fire that had spread to the nearby brush at about 7:15 a.m. Upon arrival, the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office says they found an unresponsive man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Warren Thomas Fosque, 30, of Horntown, died at the scene. His death was later ruled a homicide.

After a months-long investigation, the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office says indictments were issued on March 28, 2025 for Ceonta Jamar Kellam, 34, of Machipongo, VA and Destiny Monique Taylor, 26, of New Church, VA. Kellam and Taylor were both arrested Tuesday, April 2.

Kellam has been charged with First Degree Murder, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Burning or Destroying Personal Property, Willfully Conceal Physical Evidence, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Violent Felon.

Taylor was charged with Accessory After the Fact in the Commission of Felony Murder, Accessory After the Fact in the Commission of Felony Arson, and Willfully Conceal Physical Evidence. 

The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is ongoing and asks anyone with information to contact them at 757-787-1131.
