HURLOCK, Md. – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (SHA) announced plans to repair underground pipes in Dorchester County next week.

Officials say work will begin Monday on MD-307 (Williamsburg Road) northeast of Gravel Branch Road and is expected to be completed by Dec. 1, weather permitting.

Crews will work to clean out, repair and seal the entire length of the pipe which carries a branch of Marshyhope Creek, seeking to extend the pipe’s service life, according to a press release.

SHA says motorists can expect single-lane and shoulder closures accompanied by flaggers to guide traffic. For roadside assistance, SHA says drivers can dial #77.
