Shots Fired

SEAFORD, DE - The Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that left a teenager injured in May. 

According to police, just after 6:15 p.m. on May 29th, troopers arrived at a home on Kelly Circle in Seaford on reports of a shooting. Police were informed two unknown suspects opened fire at an occupied home, injuring a 15-year-old girl when a bullet struck her foot. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police say there were no other injuries reported.

Delaware State Police ask anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact them at 302-752-3897.

UPDATE: 

Through investigative means, Delaware State Police say they identified Lukas and Tyler Morrison as the suspects in the shooting. 

The Delaware State Police announced that they arrested 20-year-old Lukas Morrison of Georgetown on May 31st. 

Lukas Morrison was arrested and charged with the crimes listed below and committed to Sussex Correction Institution on a $130,000 cash bond.

  • Assault 1st Degree 

  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony 

  • Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited

  • Reckless Endangering 1st Degree

  • Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony

  • Conspiracy 2nd Degree 

  • Criminal Mischief 

The search for second suspect Tyler Morrison ended on July 3rd with Morrison's arrest. Morrison was taken to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $131,500 cash bond and charged with the following:

-Assault 1st Degree (Felony)

-Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)

-Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited (Felony)

-Reckless Endangering 1st Degree (Felony) – 7 counts

-Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)

-Conspiracy 2nd Degree (Felony)

-Criminal Mischief – 2 counts
