FRUITLAND, MD - The Maryland State Police arrested a Wicomico County man on Saturday following a death investigation in Fruitland.
On Friday, April 25th, at approximately 6:30pm, officers from the Maryland State Police responded to a home in the 200 block of Camden Avenue in Fruitland for a death investigation. When officers arrived at the home they found the victim, 27-year-old Albert Joseph Vacovsky III, of Fruitland, deceased inside the residence. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to MSP.
The Maryland State Police say the accused is 40-year-old Brandt John Roberts, of Fruitland. Roberts was charged with first and second degree murder and other related charges following a consultation with the Office of the State’s Attorney for Wicomico County. He is currently being held at the Wicomico County Detention Center and awaiting an appearance before a district court commissioner.
