Delmarva Power outlined steps customers can take to prepare for potential power outages amid a severe storm threat.

Pocomoke River State Park remains closed after last week’s winter storm knocked down trees throughout the property, damaged the park’s power system and left crews facing what park officials say will be a lengthy recovery process.

Utility providers across the Delmarva Peninsula report that power has largely been restored following outages caused by Sunday’s Winter Storm.

Some neighborhoods in South Bethany were still without power Wednesday as Delmarva Power crews continued restoration work following Winter Storm Hernando.

Just hours before the start of a snowy weekend, it hasn’t been the calm before the storm for some of Delmarva’s largest electricity providers, as crews are on standby and emergency plans are in place to stay ahead of any potential outages.
