Commercial fishermen on Delmarva will have an opportunity later this summer to attend a NOAA Fisheries workshop in Ocean City focused on the safe handling and release of protected marine species.

OCEAN CITY, Md. -- A push to immediately enforce a speed limit of 10 knots on much of the East Coast has been shot down, at least for now. Oceana, the environmental group pushing for this change, said the ruling is leaving North Atlantic Right Whales in danger.
OCEAN CITY, Md. -- Oceana, a non-profit organization, is pushing for a 10-knot speed limit for boats 35 feet and over to be implemented as soon as possible. The reduced speed limit is intended to help protect the endangered right whale species, of which there are roughly 340 left.
