...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 to 50 mph are
expected tonight into early this morning. Winds become west 20 to
25 mph with gusts up to 45 to 50 mph behind a strong cold front
this afternoon.

* WHERE...Dorchester, Inland Worcester, Maryland Beaches, Somerset,
and Wicomico Counties.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM EST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

...GALE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 1 AM EST
SATURDAY...

* WHAT...For the Small Craft Advisory, southeast winds 10 to 20 kt
with gusts up to 25 kt. For the Gale Warning, southwest winds
20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and waves 2 to 5 ft expected.

* WHERE...Chesapeake Bay from Drum Point MD to Smith Point VA
and Tangier Sound and the inland waters surrounding
Bloodsworth Island.

* WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until midnight EST
tonight. For the Gale Warning, from midnight tonight to 1 AM
EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could
capsize or damage vessels.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong southwest winds accompanying a
squall line will bring brief gale-force winds early Friday
morning. This will be followed by a brief drop in winds in the
mid-morning hours before winds jump back up to gale-force, but
this time out of the west-northwest by the afternoon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.
