FORECAST DISCUSSION

Normal high: 87°F / Normal low: 68°F

High pressure is pushing in from the west, but it is struggling to shove an area of low pressure near New England away. The proximity of that low pressure area has kept a lot of clouds mixing in with the sun Thursday, but otherwise the day has stayed dry.

The high will win out by Friday, which will be a delightful day on Delmarva with lots of sunshine and comfortable summertime highs in the mid 80s - likely both inland and at the coast. Winds will be light and variable. A few clouds are possible near the coast should a seabreeze front develop.

A low pressure system will begin to approach the Mid-Atlantic on Saturday, but rain will hold off until late Sunday. Out ahead of the low, we'll see some more clouds mixing in with the sun on Saturday, but no rain is expected.

Sunday will be a mainly dry day, the low pressure system will ride up the East Coast and bring scattered shower and thunderstorm chances with the current timing about late Sunday into Wednesday.

In the Tropics: There are no areas of development interest at this time.
