There is a weak boundary that will be lurking nearby that we will have to pay attention to as the models suggest we may see a stray shower or storm develop later this afternoon on this boundary. Most communities and neighborhoods will be dry today and remain dry for the next few days.
The Bermuda High locks up the weather for the next few days and will keep things on the toasty side as temperatures jump into the low and mid 90s for highs to start the workweek. It may be even a touch hotter than we are forecasting because of the current drought we are experiencing on Delmarva. The hottest day of the week will be on Tuesday as we are forecasting a sunny day with very few clouds around the region.
We watch another front arrive with chances for showers and storms Wednesday and Thursday. Our optimistic view of next weekend is starting to waver a bit as the models suggest another area of low pressure will develop to our south and use the first front as train tracks to continue to bring rain shower chances into Friday and Saturday of the long holiday weekend. The optimism is the idea that the front should push through late on Saturday and allow for a little drying for Sunday and Memorial Day Monday.
