GOLTS, Md. - A Kent County, Maryland home was destroyed Sunday night after a fire started on the home's front porch and quickly spread.
According to the Office of the State Fire Marshal, it took firefighters from the Community Fire Company of Millington about 40 minutes to put out the fire on Lee's Chapel Road.
No one was hurt and investigators estimate total damage at $150,000 which included a vehicle damaged in the fire.
According to the fire marshal, there were no smoke detectors or alarm operating at the time the fire broke out.
The cause remains under investigation.
