DOVER, Del.- More than 900,000 motorists passed through Delaware’s three toll plaza locations on I-95 in Newark, Route 1 at Biddle’s Corner, and Route 1 in Dover during the Labor Day holiday weekend, according to state transportation officials.
From Friday, Sept. 4 through Monday, Sept. 7, the I-95 Newark Plaza served 391,443 motorists; 268,209 motorists were served at Route 1 Biddles Corner; and at Dover Route 1 Plaza, 281,029. It is estimated that over $2.6 million was collected in tolls during the four-day period at Delaware’s toll plazas, according to officials.
