PRINCESS ANNE, Md.- Tiffany Moisan, a NASA research scientist whose body was found in June in Princess Anne, died by suicide, Princess Anne police said Thursday.
Police said the death of Moisan, who lived in Princess Anne, was caused by ethylene glycol ingestion. Ethylene glycol is used in the manufacture of polyester fibers and for antifreeze formulations.
Moisan's body was found June 5 in a wooded area behind the Food Lion store on Route 13. Just the day before, her family had reported her missing to Maryland State Police.
Moisan's vehicle was found in the store's parking lot, according to investigators.
Keith Koehler, a spokesman for the NASA Wallops Flight Facility on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, said Moisan was a scientist studying oceans and phytoplankton.
