SALISBURY, Md.— Students taking music lessons through Salisbury University's PRESTO preparatory school of music will share their talents during recitals on Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. in the Great Hall in Holloway Hall.
The students in the preparatory school range in age from 3- to 17-years-old, and in their musical ability from beginner to intermediate.
Students perform solo violin, piano, cello, percussion and voice works among other musical talents. Musical Selections include Chopin's “Ballade No. 1 in G Minor, Opus 23,” “Farandole” from Bizet's L'Arlesienne Suite and Sietz's “Violin Concerto No. 5,” as well as “Joy to the World” and “Panis Angelicus.”
Students represent PRESTO instructors including Nan Richerson, William Willis, Bobbie Thamert, Alissa Banks and Madeleine Clifton.
The Presto recitals are sponsored by the Department of Music, admission is free and the public is invited.
