Smyrna, Del. - A Smyrna man convicted in January of rape and possession of child porn has been sentenced to eight years in prison.
Deputy Attorney General Kathleen Dickerson recently secured the sentenced for 34-year-old Harold Philhower. Following the eight years, Philhower will serve two years at Level III probation.
According to the Delaware Department of Justice, the charges stem from allegations that Philhower was seen having inappropriate conduct with a 13-year-old girl in October of 2014 outside the Dover karate school where his then-wife worked.
A jury found Philhower guilty of third-degree rape and three counts of possession of child pornography in January.
