BERLIN, Md.- Authorities say two students were injured after being struck by a car in the parking lot of Stephen Decatur High School in Berlin.
According to Lt. Ed Schreier of the Worcester County Sheriff's Office, on Monday morning the two students - one a male and the other a female - were walking when another student, who was driving and looking for a parking spot, backed up and hit both of them.
Schreier said both students were to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center?. One of the students sustained life-threatening injuries while the other suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries, according to Schreier.
There is no word yet on the students' identities or if any charges will be filed against the driver.
