SALISBURY, MD - The City of Salisbury announced they are renaming the downtown roundabout to honor the late Greg Bassett. The city is holding an unveiling ceremony on Monday, April 28th.
The City of Salisbury announced that they are officially renaming the downtown roundabout to the "Greg Bassett Circle". The city remembers Greg Bassett as a "cherished leader, journalist, and devoted member of the Salisbury community". Bassett passed away in 2023.

There will be a Greg Bassett Circle unveiling ceremony on Monday, April 28th, from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at the downtown roundabout, located at the intersection of Riverside Drive, West Carroll Street, and Mill Street in Downtown Salisbury. The city says the ceremony is "a moment of remembrance, celebration, and appreciation for Bassett’s dedication to Salisbury and his many contributions through storytelling, civic engagement, and leadership with the Greater Salisbury Committee."
For those attending the ceremony, public viewing will be available from nearby non-permitted parking lots.
