Ocean City, Md.—The town of Ocean City has announced a cleanup project will take place following the deaths of hundreds of horseshoe crabs at the 94th Street canal.
Officials say the use of personal protective equipment will be utilized as a safety precaution as the horseshoe crabs are removed on Thursday, July 16.
WBOC 16 first reported on the crabs on July 8.
Residents are encouraged to avoid the area to allow the crew to clean up safely.
