OC Boardwalk Night

OCEAN CITY, MD - As storms start to rain over Delmarva, in coastal communities like Ocean City, residents and visitors are preparing for the rough weather.  The Ocean City boardwalk was nearly deserted as the winds began to pick up. With strong winds knocking over decorations, tables, and signs.

Eliane and Keith Jacobs, visiting from Myrtle Beach, had planned to attend the Winterfest of Lights but had to cancel due to the adverse weather.

“We hope to make the best of it, but will see what the winds bring, and what rains come across our way.” said Eliane.

They said they hunkered down before their trip up, expecting the heavy conditions --

“We tied down things on our balcony, brought in our furniture, and prepared for whatever wind might be hitting down there as well as here.”

Despite the weather, some, like Cornelius Appleton, say heavy storms and strong winds are nothing Ocean City locals can't handle.

“It happens, you deal with it, grab your rain jacket, put your galoshes on, really, it’s just another day! It’s more in the winter, but other than that, it doesn’t seem to bother the locals at least.”  said Appleton.
