Officials with the Capital School District have announced the early dismissal of students from Dover High School after the school received a bomb threat Wednesday.

Law enforcement agencies are investigating a second bomb threat targeting elementary schools in Wicomico County within a two-day period.

They say the anonymous callers referenced "Fruitland Elementary School," and made statements involving "poison gas" and "gauging their eyes out."

A 13-year-old boy has been charged in connection with a bomb threat that forced the evacuation of two Milford schools Monday.

Delaware State University announced an evacuation and cancelled all classes for the remainder of Tuesday after receiving a bomb threat, with other universities in Delaware and Maryland reporting similar safety concerns.

A series of school threats have plagued Dorchester County schools in the past week.

A Somerset Intermediate School student was charged after texting a bomb threat against the school early Friday morning.
