Jimmie Allen Comedy

DELAWARE - Country music star and Sussex native Jimmie Allen has announced a new creative endeavor amid multiple assault allegations - stand up comedy.

In an Instagram post shared last night, Allen teased a 3-night comedy tour called “I Said What I Said,” slated for this October. The shows will be invite-exclusive according to Allen, but fans can signup through a link on his Instagram page for a chance to win tickets.

Accusations of sexual assault against Allen were first revealed in May, brought forth by his former manager. A second set of allegations against him came from another woman in June. Allen has vehemently denied the claims of both women, and announced a countersuit against them this month.

Born and raised in Milton, Allen’s popularity, even among the swirling allegations,  is especially evident in his native Sussex County. A concert planned for Dewey Beach’s Bottle & Cork on June 29th reportedly sold out in under two minutes. The venue then added a second night’s performance.

The exact dates and times of Allen’s new comedy tour have yet to be announced.
