Delaware is preparing to modernize its emergency communications system with the rollout of Next Generation 911, a statewide upgrade officials say will help dispatchers respond more quickly and accurately when people call for help.

Emergency crews closed a portion of southbound US 113 near the state line after a tractor trailer rollover crash early this morning. 

The Ocean City Police and Fire Departments responded to the crash at northbound Coastal Highway and 42nd Street around 11:30 p.m. on June 21. 

The Millsboro Fire Company and assisting agencies responded to the 22300 block of York Circle just before 1 a.m. on June 4, according to department run logs.

Officials say the homeowners were out of town at the time of the fire, with a neighbor watching their dog reported safe.
