A Centreville woman has been arrested following what police describe as a high-speed DUI car chase in Queen Anne’s County over the weekend.

Delaware State Police say 46-year-old Kara Gilmore, of Ocean City, is facing charges including second-degree vehicular homicide in connection to a hit and run which killed a bicyclist Tuesday night in Millville. 

44-year-old Jose Sanchez, of Lincoln, faces terroristic threatening, weapon and unsafe driving charges. 

The Dover Police Department has announced the arrest of a Dover woman after they say she struck a 13-year-old and 17-year-old with her vehicle following an argument on Saturday.

Police say a man is facing felony charges after resisting arrest during a DUI traffic stop.

According to Delaware State Police, a Chevrolet Express van was traveling westbound on John J. Williams Highway near Arrowhead Road around 5:30 p.m. Meanwhile, a Mazda 3 was traveling eastbound. The Chevrolet then struck a utility pole and a fence before crossing the highway's center line into the eastbound lane, which lead to a head-on collision with the Mazda.

Two crashes at the Georgetown Circle over the weekend have left parts of the circle damaged, according to the Georgetown Police Department. Authorities said both crashes involved impaired drivers.

The Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Denton man on multiple charges following an alleged vehicle theft earlier in August.

Delaware State University President Dr. Tony Allen has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, according to court records acquired by WBOC.
