KENT COUNTY, DE.- The Kent County Department of Public Safety has a new four-legged member to help first responders.

First responders advise residents to stay indoors or in cool environments as a dangerously high temperatures approach this weekend.

Both the Salisbury and Deal Island Fire Departments responded to a submerged vehicle on Tuesday morning in Somerset County. 

The City of Salisbury announced Rob Frampton as the city's new fire chief on Tuesday following an extensive search. 

A large animal rescue operation was launched in Ellendale last night as first responders came to the aid of a downed horse.

"Blessings for Badges" justified their name on Thanksgiving day. Volunteers gathered at the Leipsic and Millsboro Fire Companies on Thursday morning to assemble hot Thanksgiving meals for those who don't get the day off.
